Inpatient Mental Health Programs

The holiday season, while often a time of celebration, can present significant challenges for people with mental health disorders. Increased stress, social pressures, and the prevalence of substances during this period can lead to heightened risks of relapse or a case of the 'Holiday Blues'.

Currumbin Clinic has tailored programs available to patients during the festive period:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Christmas Art Therapy
  • Topics from our Dual-Diagnosis program

Hospital in the Home (HITH) - Mental Health

Our community-based service will operate uninterrupted over the holiday period, ensuring seamless support for patients transitioning from inpatient care or requiring home-based care. If you’re unsure about the process or how to refer, please contact us at 1800 119 118 for assistance.

Day Programs

We will continue to accept and monitor referrals throughout the festive season. Please continue to send your referrals as normal and we'll book patients into the next available group. New intakes and refreshed programs will be available in the new year, including:

  • Persistent Pain Management: A multidisciplinary program facilitated by a Pain Specialist, Psychologist, and Exercise Physiologist.
  • PTSD Program: A CBT-based trauma program focusing on psychoeducation and stabilisation, supporting the initial stages of PTSD treatment.
  • Trauma Skills for Veterans & Emergency Services: Tailored support for these groups.

These programs also provide an excellent pathway for early access to a Psychiatrist.
