Currumbin Clinic is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and registered Psychologists who are interested in this exciting career opportunity to join our Allied Health team as a Group Therapy Facilitator.

About the Role:

Essential Criteria and Qualifications

Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health (may include post-graduate training.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions through group modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Immunisation evidence (including COVID vaccination) and serology report
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously within a team
  • Be adaptive, flexible, and self-motivated in your approach
  • All employees are required to complete and maintain their mandatory education and competencies in accordance with Currumbin Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Experience or willingness to build experience in working with AODs preferred.
  • Experience or willingness to build experience in working with Veterans and Emergency Services preferred. Experience or willingness to build

Desirable Qualifications

Experience working with clients presenting with severe and persistent mental health issues and complex needs.

  • Experience working in a hospital setting.
  • Experience in the provision of group therapy with adults in an addictions service.
  • Experience in the provision of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Vaccination Preventable Disease

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment:

  • COVID-19 (double vaccinated)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella (chicken pox)
  • Pertussis (whooping cough), Diphtheria and Tetanus

Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker)

Casual / Part Time Positions Available

Currumbin Clinic is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and registered Social Workers who are interested in this exciting career opportunity to join our Allied Health team as a Group Therapy Facilitator and Social Worker.

About the Role:

The Social Worker will have the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver core hospital Social Work services to a broad range of mental health presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members including other Social Workers, Psychologists, OT’s, Nursing staff, and Treating Psychiatrists.
  • Utilise effective communication skills to optimise clinical outcomes and work collaboratively with clients, other agencies (health, mental health, justice, victim, and disability), government and non-government services.
  • Facilitate inpatient and day patient therapeutic groups.
