Currumbin Clinic recognises the importance of actively engaging with patients and their carers who access Currumbin Clinic services.
In keeping with best practice, the Clinic has a Consumer and Carer Committee and welcomes volunteers. The Committee meets regularly onsite and also make regular informal visits to the Clinic.
These visits are to provide an opportunity for patients and carers to obtain information about the Committee and also to discuss concerns and provide suggested improvements.
A representative of the Committee is also appointed to the Clinic's Quality and Risk Committee.
Regular Consumer Focus Groups which are facilitated by a member of the Consumer and Carer Committee are also held at the Clinic and provide a forum for feedback.
