Treatment for Depression
Depression does not discriminate. With understanding and the right treatment, we can help you lead a happy, fulfilling life.
Inpatient treatment
It’s important to provide sufferers of depression with the resources, education and clinical support needed to address their issues, and in turn, promote happier, healthier lives.
Currumbin Clinic offers inpatient services which involves admission under the care of a psychiatrist with admitting rights to the clinic.
Our team of healthcare professionals specialises in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting with mental health disorders and the exacerbation of pre-existing disorders. Our three week group-based depression program includes behavioural activation, relapse prevention and education to provide the skills, techniques and strategies to understand and manage mood disorders.
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for Depression
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive treatment for depression. Currumbin Clinic has an accredited team of clinicians who administer rTMS as part of an inpatient admission program. Average length of stay is 21 days. During this time patients are also enrolled in a depression specific psychoeducation program designed specifically to provide them with skills and strategies to support their recovery.
